Docusign Envelope lD: 934CC55C-54E1 4502-881 2-D61 79D201 CD8
State of Washington Department of Ecology
Agreement No: WRYBIP-2325-KiCPWD-00072
Project Title: Springwood Ranch Stewardship and Planning
Recipient Name: Kittitas County Public Works Department
property owner's land holding. These interim core land management functions include trespass management, continued
beneficial use of water served to the property, keeping the property signed and fences maintained, and managing
vegetation to address noxious weed and fire risk.
Additionally, the new property owners will advance key planning and related efforts to transition the property from its
current use to uses aligned with the long-term goals of property acquisition, as reflected in the Washington State budget
proviso language, which enabled property acquisition. The landowners will continue regular meetings to share long-term
management plans and identi$ specific logistics that need to be worked out among parties. A cultural resources
assessment will be conducted to inform long-term management. All structures will be inventoried and assessed for
asbestos. Asbestos will be abated, and junk will be cleared for the property.
The grant will be managed by Kittitas County, who will collaborate with KRD, WDFW and the Yakama Nation to
implement the scope of the grant agreement.
Overall Goal:
Property purchased to advance water supply, structural and operational changes, habitat and watershed protection
elements of the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan will be managed to prevent and address trespass, continued beneficial use
of water served to the property, and manage vegetation. The landowners will continue regular meetings to share
long-term management plans and identify specific logistics that need to be worked out among parties. Actions to
support long-term management will include a cultural resource assessment for portions of the property excluding
KRD-owned lands, structure inventory, asbestos testing and abatement, and junk removal.
Template Yersion 12/ 10/2020
