BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br /> STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - <br /> AUTHORIZING A"LAND USE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT"EXTENSION WITH GRANT <br /> COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT NO.2 FOR THE VANTAGE BOAT LAUNCH. <br /> WHEREAS: Interlocal cooperation agreements between municipal agencies are authorized by the <br /> Revised Code of Washington Chapter 39.34;and <br /> WHEREAS, Kittitas County and Grant County Public Utility District No.2 entered into a cooperative <br /> land use agreement for Vantage Boat Launch operations and maintenance with <br /> Resolution 2016-105;and <br /> WHEREAS: An extension to the agreement was entered into on May 7,2024 with Resolution 2024- <br /> 086;and <br /> WHEREAS: Kittitas County and Grant County Public Utility District No.2 desire sharing ongoing <br /> operations and maintenance responsibilities for the Vantage Boat Launch facility in <br /> Kittitas County for public recreational benefits;and <br /> WHEREAS: The proposed agreement provides time for both entities to address key operations and <br /> maintenance issues associated with boat launch operations. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners,in the best interest <br /> of the public,does hereby authorize the Chairman's signature on Grant County Public <br /> Utility District No.2"Land Use Cooperative Agreement"—Vantage Boat Launch. <br /> DATED this 9th day of June 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY,WASHINGTON <br /> Laura Osiadacz,Chairman <br /> Attest: <br /> ❑ Clerk of the Board-Julie Kjorsvik <br /> Cory Wright,Vice-Chairman <br /> ❑Deputy Clerk of the Board-Mandy Buchholz <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />
