KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br /> STUDY SESSION DATE: June 9, 2025 <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution for the 2025 <br /> Distressed County Sales and Use Tax Infrastructure <br /> Improvement Program Agreement with the City of <br /> Kittitas <br /> BACKGROUND: At the January 15, 2025, regularly scheduled COG <br /> Meeting, the City of Kittitas, along with their <br /> consultant, presented to the Conference of <br /> Governments their proposal for a request to assist in <br /> funding the preliminary design for the South Industrial <br /> Area Lift Station for the City of Kittitas. This project <br /> is included in the approved 2024 COG Work Program. <br /> The City of Kittitas continues to explore additional <br /> funding opportunities for construction of this project <br /> after design is completed. <br /> Based on the motion approved by the Conference of <br /> Governments at the January 15, 2025, meeting, Public <br /> Works has prepared the 2025 Distressed County Sales <br /> and Use Tax Infrastructure Improvement Program <br /> Agreement with the City of Kittitas for an amount of <br /> $1,100,000.00. This funding became available on <br /> January 1, 2025. <br /> INTERACTION: Public Works; City of Kittitas <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Approve and Sign the Resolution and the 2025 <br /> Distressed County Sales and Use Tax Infrastructure <br /> Improvement Program Agreement with the City of <br /> Kittitas. <br /> HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br /> ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; 2025 Distressed County Sales and Use <br /> Tax Infrastructure Improvement Program Agreement <br /> LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Director of Public Works <br />
