Dept. of Public Works <br />Page 2 <br />Committee makes the following Findings of Facts, Conclusions of Law and Decision related to <br />the above referenced matter: <br />1. The Road Variance Committee finds that David Warren, owner of Parcel 723236 submitted a <br />road variance application on May 28, 2025. <br />The subject property is located at 1802 Teanaway West Fork Teanaway Road Cie Elum, WA. <br />3. The Committee finds that the Applicant is asking for a variance to the 2024 Kittitas County <br />Road Standards 12.04.07-1: Minimum Driveway Standards for Grade and Width. The <br />Applicant wishes to vary from the Grade and Width requirements to construct a driveway to <br />a 920 sq ft cabin. <br />4. The Committee finds that David Warren, owner of Parcel 723236, has altered the <br />topography of the hillside and firewised his property as mitigation. <br />The Committee finds that an open record hearing was held on June 18, 2025, and that <br />testimony was taken from those persons present who wished to be heard. <br />6. The Committee finds that the proposal is/is not in the public interest and that the <br />requirements for safety function, fire protection, appearance and maintainability based <br />upon sound engineering judgement are/are not fully met, as required by KCC 12.01.130. <br />7.
