INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR COOPERATIVE PURCHASING <br />Between Centralia College and Kittitas County <br />This Interlocal Agreement is made between Centralia College, a public institution of higher <br />education in Washington State ("College"), and Kittitas County, a political subdivision of <br />the State of Washington ("County"). The purpose of this agreement is to allow the College <br />to use a competitively awarded contract held by the County for the purchase of banking <br />services. <br />1. Purpose <br />a. This agreement enables Centralia College to make purchases under a <br />contract competitively procured by Kittitas County, in accordance with <br />Washington's Interlocal Cooperation Act (Chapter 39.34 RCW). It supports <br />efficient, cost-effective procurement by reducing administrative duplication. <br />2. Authority <br />a. This agreement is made under RCW 39.34.030 and RCW 39.34.080, which <br />allow public agencies in Washington to contract with one another for joint <br />purchasing and cooperative action. <br />3. Contract Information <br />a. The College may use the following Kittitas County contract: <br />i. Contract Title: Master Service Agreement <br />ii. Vendor Name: US Bank <br />iii. Scope: Deposit Accounts <br />b. The College agrees to abide by the terms and conditions established in the <br />County's contract. <br />4. Responsibilities <br />a. Each party retains full responsibility for its own performance under this <br />agreement. <br />b. The College will be solely responsible for any purchases it makes and for all <br />resulting payments to the vendor. <br />c. The County will not be held liable or responsible for the College's purchasing <br />decisions or obligations. <br />d. The County is not acting as a purchasing agent for the College. <br />5. Term: This agreement will remain in effect for as long as the County's contract is <br />active, unless terminated earlier by either party with 30 days' written notice. <br />
