Application Questions: Part 4 o 6l Additional lnformation Response 6.1: Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your project and its benefit to tourism. The Kittitas County Historical Museum is a private, nonprofit charitable organizaiion. With only two paid staff and 14 volunteers, we plan to continue building awareness of the museum, which will refleciively increase our further sustainability. We have continued to build on an advertising campaign that has reached over a decade of success, resulting in an almost consistent growth of 20-25Yo per year. As of Augusi 31 ,2024 we have had 5,370 visitors (compared to 4,879 a year ago), and are on track 1o continue that growth ihroughout the remainder of the year and into next year as well. We have broken records with our attendance as well as donation rates. We have also had yearly increases in our gift shop sales, social media views, and interest in volunleering and getting involved with the museum. All of this we directly attribute to the rebounding visitation and continued successful marketing of the Museum. With increased performance in the same and slightly new markets, we draw on visitors who are already predisposed to visit us, showing them new activities at the Museum, new things io be aware of, and reasons why to vislt not only our organization but Ellensburg and Kittitas County as a whole.
