Response 5: Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. lnclude any plans for ticket sales,
event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.*
As WSSSM does not charge admission or a fee for events, our ability to earn revenue ouiside of fundraising or grants is limited
to the gift shop sales. WSSSM has a small operating budget, and it was determined that we could sustain our budget and
growth without applying for multiple granis. While 2023 was our best year ever in terms of fundraising, our expenses have
increased wiih rent and staffing.
Plans are in place for capitalizing on our 1Oth Anniversary in 2025 to apply for other grants arrd increase and diversiiy our
fundraising capabilities.
Lodging Tax Promoiion and Advertising = more awareness of the museum and our events = more visitors =
more suppoflers = more sales, etc.
The Lodging Tax funds are crucial part of our tourism marketing strategy for this very small non-profit facility.
2500 character lirnit
Application Questions: Part 4 o
6l Additional lnformation
Response 5.1: Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
How WSSSM Meets Lodging Tax Goals
'1 .
