Response 1.1 : Please provide a description of your projecUevent. *
Thank you for the opportunity to support the annual marketing campaign forthe Washington State Ski & Snowboard Museurn
(WSSSM) (http://wwwwsssm.org). ln 2025 the museum will be celebrating our 1Oth anniversary and we have plans for lots of
activities around this celebration !
We are located on Snoqualmie Pass, just over the King-Kittitas county line, WSSSM is truly the first tourism destination in Upper
Kiititas County. The museum is in the modern and growing Pass Life development next to ihe Sumnrit ski area, ideally situated
in beiween two popular venues: Commonwealth restaurant and Dru Bru brewery. WSSSM is open year-round, Friday-Sunday.
Admission is FREE.
The museum is staffed by two paid staff, our Executive Director and Operations and Volunteer Coordinator. We rely on a
volunieers to help staff the museum. WSSSM is also a community space and nreeting spot for Snoqualmie Pass residents. We
work to provide quality events that appeal to our demographic of skiers, but also to the local community. Our volunteer hosts
interact with every visitor and provide local information for the surrounding area.
ln 2023, the museum saw a 47o/o increase in museum vjsits over the prior year and expects to end the year with an all-time high
of around 6,559 visitors. QR code surveys tell us that 97% of visitors travel more than 50 miles and 13% come from outside
Washington State. About 12% of visitors report an overnight siay.
2023 was one of our best fundraising years ever. WSSSM has developed broad and consistent support from over 450 individual
and corporate donors across the state. including The Summit, Northwest Winter Sports Foundation, Ski Washington, K2, Mervin,
and more. Commr:nity parinerships jnclude Dru Bru. The Summit, Stuftevant's, Outdoors forAll, VertFest. PacWest Banked
Slalom, Warren Miller, REl, Edgeworks, Suncadia and more.
WSSSM is a storytelling, digital hands-on museum with 11 permanent exhibits and many videos. ln 2O24,the museum added
ihe mannequin "Radical Rick" to our Snowboarding Exhibit. Rick is dressed and ready for snowboarding 1980s siyle. Our most
popular exhibit is on our State's Olympians. We are pleased to have our Olymprans stay connected with the museum. With the
1Oth anniversary coming up in 2025, the museum exhibiis committee is reinvigorated to decide on our next major project.
lf awarded funds, WSSSM will invest in primarily targeted digitallon-line/streaming. social media, search advertising and print
advertising.
2500 characler limit
Response 1.2: Please provide us link to a brief video summary of you organization's evenuproject. *
Note: Yali NIUST be present al lhe O&A nreeting to qualify for fundjrrg.
hitps:llyoutu. be/q L5vd LAWFES
Response 1.3: List of lntended Use of Funds*
Nolei This lanquage vlill be .elaled iI the cor]ltact if alvarded.
l"he CLTAC canltoi dpllrove fuBds not listed under RCW 67.28.18'16.
