3l lmpact <br />Response 3: Describe how you will promote your evenUactivity/facility to aftract tourists. * <br />The EDAwill promote our events, programs, and initiatives to tourists through a combination of organic content development <br />and paid advertising. Events and programs are promoted through ourwebsite, email marketing, social media channels, and print <br />materials {brochures, rack cards, postcards, large format signage). Additionalfunding will allow us to produce higher quality print <br />materials with a larger opportunity for distribution with our MyEllensburg tourism partners. <br />With lodging tax funds, we would increase our digital reach through paid advertisements via social media and digital ad <br />placement (Google Ads). We would also be more involved with organizations like the Washington Festivals and Events <br />Association and The State of Washington Tourism Partnership Program. Addiiional funding will support ihese educational and <br />networking opportu nities. <br />EDA photography, videography, and social media content is used to promoie tourism ihrough MyEllensbutg, as well as through <br />paid advertising efforts stemming from the EDA (digital, print, social) to encourage attendance from visitors beyond 50 miles of <br />Ellensburg. <br />The EDA website and email campaigns are direct sources of conient and inspiralion for travelers, and encourages individuals to <br />explore the unique facets that our historic downtown has to offer. Lodging tax funds will allow us to pay for high-quality <br />photography and videography of our downtown core and special events/festivals. We will coniinue to grow our relationships wiih <br />local and regional media partners to increase coverage of our events and programs. <br />2500 characler lirnit <br />Application Questions: Part 3 o <br />4lCollaboration <br />Response 4.1: lf your organization collaborates or has created partnerships with other organizations, groups, or other events, <br />how is this accomplished?* <br />Through an MOU with the City of Ellensburg, the EDA is able to lead beautificaiion programs in the downtown core. These <br />programs include downtown planter maintenance, the installation of seasonal snowflake lighting, the installation of the <br />Ellensburg holiday tree, and downtown cleanup days. The EDA Director also sits on the Kittitas Counly Economic Developmeni <br />Task Force and the Diversity, Equity, and lnclusion Committee. Our staff is heavily involved in programming with the Ellensburg <br />Arts and CulturalAlliance, ensuring that we are collectively promoting and amplifying its unique programs. <br />The EDA also partners with the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce (KCCC) to amplify commerce in the downtown core and <br />drive tourism to historic Downtswn Ellensburg. This is accomplished through regular strategy meetings with the KCCC CEO and <br />Tourism Direclor. <br />We have many local pariners who support our mission to "empower and preserve communiiy by amplifying our economy and <br />creating a sense of place for all." While this list is not exhaustive of our partners. we hold strong relationships with Central <br />Washington University, The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, the Kittitas County Historical Museum, the Ellensburg <br />Rodeo, and the National Main Street organization. Many members of these organ'zations and businesses serve as board and <br />committee members within the organization. We communicate regularly with our partners through in-person meetings, e-news <br />updates, social media campaigns, and more. <br />The Ellensburg Downtown Association works diligently to build and maintain relationships with local and regional partners. All <br />photography and videography content created with these funds would be made available lo our partners at MyEllensburg and <br />other tourism-related organizations. <br />2500 character limii
