Response 1.1 : Please provide a description of your projecUevent, *
Valley Theatre Company (VTC) is at the very heart of live performance in Ellensburg and the Kittitas Valley. Our Summer
mainstage production is our largest play in terms of cast and budget, we focus on bringing in some of the most dynamic and
popular Broadway musicals. Drawing audiences not only from Ellensburg and Kittitas County, but from across Washington. Our
target audiences are those interested in live theater and the performing arts.
ln 2025. VTC is exciied to present The Sound of Music. This musical is a perfect choice for engaging the eniire communiiy. with
opportunities for participation across all age groups, from children and teens to adults and seniors. both on stage and behind the
scenes. What sets this production apart is our dedication to inclusivity and innovation. With a casi of 40-50 performers and 30-
50 individualsworking as crew, thiswill be one of the largest community-driven productions in the region. The quality of our
productions rivals that of regional professional theaters, thanks to the ialent and commitment of our largely volunteer team. Our
approach to casting breaks away from traditional paradigms, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds and lifestyles in
an organic, collaborative environment. This innovative spirit not only enriches the pedormance and strengthens the community.
This event is designed to increase tourism and exposure to performing arts, and build connections in our community between
businesses and audience members. We cLrltivate "Experience Partners" with a few of our local restaurants and hotels. lt has
included everything from themed menus, discounts on appetizers or dessert, hotel stays that included tickets to the show, and
special themed cocktails. WC has also developed relationships with Central Washington Universiiy and several other regional
community theaters for cross-promotion of events.
These funds will be used wisely to achieve a successful marketing and advertising campaign, assistwith a portion of faciliiy
rental fees for rehearsals and perfonnances, play royalties, production expenses and renials from other regional organizations
including set pieces, props, costumes, and lighting, without which we could not hold the event.
Our intention is to execute this plan through social media ads, online ads on local community and regional websites, print ads,
posters, yard signs, video and radio advertisements, and at otherVTC and community activities throughout the year.
2500 character linlit
Response 1,2: Please provide us link to a brief video summary of you organization's evenUproject. *
Noter You tvlUST be preselrt al ihe Q&A nreetir)g lo qualify for lunding.
https://youtu. be/5CpXSRph PZw
Response 1.3: List of lntended Use of Funds*
Note. fhis language.'ill be relaled in the co[tract if alvarded.
The CLIAC carnol approve funLls nol listed under RCW 67,28.1 81 6.
