1 The Contraobq shall not be entitled to additional compenaatlon which othenrrrlss may be payable, or to ext€nsion of time for (1) any act or failurc to act by the County, or (2) the happening of any event or ocourronce, unless the Gontractor has given the Countya wriften Notice of Potential Claim wlthln ten (10) days of the commencement of the act, fallurc, or event glving rise to the claim, and before final payment by the County. The wrltten Notlce of Potentlal Claim shall set forth the reasons for which the Contractor believes additional compensation or extension of time is due, the nature of the cost involved, and insofaras posslble, the amount of the potentialclaim. Detailed Qjgim The Contrastor shall not be enflfled to clalrn any such additional compensation, or extension of time, unless within thirty (30) days of the aompletion of the portion of the work from which the clalm arose, and before final payment by the Gounty, the Gontractor has given the County a detailed written statement of each element of oost or other compensation rcquested and of all elements of additional time required, and oopies of any supporting documents evidenoirq Sre amount orextenslon of time claimed to be due. 2$. Ownership of lterns Pnduced.: All writings, programs, data, public records or other materlals prepared by tho Gontmctor andior ite coneultants or subContractors, ln conneotlon wlth performance of this Agreement shall be the sole and absolute property of the County. 24. 0onfidenliqlity: The Contractor, lts ernployees, sub-Contractors, and their employees shall maintaln the confidentlality of all information provided by the County or acqulred by the Contractor in performanoe of this Agreoment, except upon the prior rmitten consent of the Kittitas County Prosecuflng Attorney or an order entered by a court ater having acqulned lurisdiction over the County. Contrac'tor shall immediately givo to the County notice of any judiclal proceedings seeking disclosure of euch information. Contractor shall lndemnify and hold harmless the Gounty, its Additional lnsureds, officlalg, agents or omployees from all loss or expense! including, but not lirnited to settlements, judgments, setoffs, attorneys'fees and costs resulting fmm Contractor's breach of this provlsion. To the extent that any informatlon obtained bythe Gontrac"tor ls required to be shared with or provlded to otherc by the terms of the $tatement of the Work, this provision is not breached by such acts. 25. M$ce: Except as set forth elsewhere in the Agreement, for all purpoees under this Agreement, oxcept service of process, notice shall be given by the Contractor to the department head of the departmenl for whom services ars rondored, and to the Klttitas County Profssslonul Selicos Agteement (rev.
