KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> PUBLIC WORKS/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br /> COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOK! 109 <br /> Special Meeting <br /> TUESDAY 11:00 AM NOVEMBER 12, 2024 <br /> Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice Chairman Laura <br /> Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> Others: Josh Fredrickson, Arden Thomas, Sally Kraft, Rebecca Cruse, <br /> Public Works; Chad Bala, Bradley Gasawski, Jessica Miller, Community <br /> Development Services; Stephanie Hartung, Prosecuting Attorney' s <br /> Office; 2 members of the public. <br /> At 11:01 AM Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened the Public Works and <br /> Community Development Services Study Session. <br /> Citizen Comments - Pat Kelleher commented on the Parks and Recreation <br /> proposal and that he thinks BLM would be a great partner to consider. <br /> Pat Kelleher submitted written comment via email against the funding <br /> of Springwood Ranch. <br /> REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIRECTOR SIGNATURE ON TASK ORDER NO. 1 AMENDMENT NO. 2 WITH CONSOR <br /> NORTH AMERICA, INC. <br /> Josh Fredrickson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on the <br /> Task Order No. 1 Amendment 2 with Consor North America, Inc. This <br /> amendment authorizes an additional $36, 700 to support the outreach <br /> campaign for the 2024 Road Fund Levy Election. Commissioner Cory <br /> Wright expressed great dissatisfaction with Consor's work. Chairman <br /> Brett Wachsmith motioned to approve Resolution 2024-194 and Vice <br /> Chair Laura Osiadacz seconded the motion. Resolution 2024-194 <br /> approved. <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION STAFF <br /> Josh Fredrickson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on the <br /> proposal to develop policy and provide resources around the use of <br /> County owned land properties. <br /> Commissioner Cory Wright stated that Public Works has done a good job <br /> filling in the gaps and stressed the importance of coordination with <br /> CDS for long range planning and to include current Parks and <br /> Recreation plans in all future planning.
