Ryegrass Limited Purpose Landfill and Balefill Closed Landfill <br />Groundwater and Leachate Sampling and Analysis Plan <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste <br />5. Collect duplicate sample (to be tested for all parameters). <br />a. Select one groundwater location where duplicate sample will be collected. <br />b. Prepare an extra set of sample containers for all parameters and label them with the <br />sample number as CLW-6. <br />c. Align sample bottles and duplicate bottles by parameter. <br />d. Collect sample for VOCs then collect duplicate for VOCs. Continue in this manner until all <br />samples bottles are filled. <br />e. Field filter the duplicate sample for dissolved metals using the same tubing and filter as <br />the corresponding sample (see No. 12 below for field filtration procedures). <br />6. Field filter samples for dissolved metals analysis. <br />DedksW Puma <br />a. Place 0.45 micron disposable cartridge filter in -line with dedicated discharge hose. <br />b. Indicate sample locations, date and time of sampling, required analyses. <br />b. Indicate by bottle and analytical group whether samples were preserved or field -filtered. <br />c. Sign and date. <br />8. Prepare samples for shipment to laboratory in a cooler. <br />a. Tape drain plug of cooler shut on inside and outside. <br />b. If samples are to be shipped, place each sample bottle in a separate sealed HDPE bag <br />and place back in the cooler on ice. <br />c. Seal chain -of -custody forms inside a HDPE bag and tape to the inside of the cooler lid. <br />d.
