Response 1.1: Please provide a description of your project/event.*
Response 1.2: Please provide us link to a brief video summary of you organization's event/project.*
3| Impact
We are expanding our current offerings. The new strategy is to offer a new exposure to bring people to Ellensburg as a tourist
destination. We have secured a spot with The Cowboy Channel, which is a nationally recognized television programming
station; it is a leading independent cable channel. Kittitas Valley has a unique cultural history and present way of life that offers a
rural western style along with having a university and a vibrant arts and agricultural business that keeps us moving forward. We
will feature scenic beauty and community events connecting us to the native Americans, history museums, art galleries, wine
industry, and local fare.
2500 character limit
Note: You MUST be present at the Q&A meeting to qualify for funding.
https://youtu.be/_T3CfX7Tuqs?si=NshJ3BrPjBixtExn
Response 1.3: List of Intended Use of Funds *
Note: This language will be related in the contract if awarded.
The CLTAC cannot approve funds not listed under RCW 67.28.1816. However, the committee has the right to be more restrictive.
Equipment hire
Facility rentals
Travel and training expenses
Computer maintenance
Marketing-print ads, online advertising
Speaker and talent fees
Website updates and design
Video production
Signage
Office supplies
2| Supporting Kittitas County as a tourism destination.
1. Away from their place of residence or business and staying overnight in paid accommodations;
2. To a place fifty miles or more away from their place of residence or business for the day or staying overnight;
3. Or from another country or state outside of their place of residence or business.
You must provide the evidence utilized in determining your projections.
Response 2.1: Why would tourists travel to Kittitas County to attend your event/activity/facility?*
Our museum offers a historical archive of over 100 plus years of Rodeo and Western heritage. Our community is full of events
such as: touring museums, wine venues, music and arts, university and agri-business related tourism. We also offer street fairs
and outdoor markets.
2500 character limit
Response 2.2: Describe the prior success of your event/activity/facility to attract tourists.*
The best evidence is our guest book which is located at our museum and at the Western Village/ERHOF Room during Rodeo
Weekend. We have hosted a Japanese University Student Tour. The tour consisted of 20 students from Japan. The tour lasted
for an hour w/opportunities for questions and discussion on the Kittitas Valley. It was well received. We also have had people
visiting from Australia, Romania, and England. WE have evidence of people visiting from all over the United States touring our
museum.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 2
