S '<'4ba, <br />Irlryrltra.g <>(oIrNrTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />Josh Fredrickson, Director <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Kittitas County Board of Gounty Commissioners <br />FROM: Ryan Berge, Maintenance Manager <br />CC: Candie Leader, Gontracts Specialist <br />DATE: January 17,2025 <br />SUBJECT: Yakima River Ganyon Marathon and Half-Marathon <br />t l l t ll l l ll l t t ! l <br />After review of the application for the "Yakima River Canyon Marathon and Half- <br />Marathon" to be held on March 29, 2025, Public Works would like to clarify that Berry <br />Road, Tjossem Road, Wood House Loop, and the County portion of Canyon Road will <br />not be closed for the duration of the race; and that there will be sufficient amount of <br />traffic control at these intersections. <br />Public Works recommends approving this event with the following conditions below: <br />1. Local advertisement in the Daily Record and physical posting two (2) weeks in <br />advance to inform the traveling public of the upcoming event to give notice to <br />plan an alternate route during the time of the event. <br />2.
