KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />March 18, 2025 <br /> <br />Request Boards Approval of a Resolution to Authorize <br />Facilities and Waste Operation Director to Purchase a 2024 <br />Caterpillar 930 Loader . <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste operates a compost facility at <br />Ellensburg Transfer Station. The facility currently operates with <br />a 2014 Caterpillar 930K Loader. <br />Working through Sourcewell the Solid Waste Department was <br />able to find a comparable new 930 Loader to replace the <br />existing. NC Machinery will take our existing loader in on trade <br />for a trade allowance of $60,000. With the trade in the total cost <br />of the new loader with a 7-year 7000-hour warranty plus sales <br />tax will be $183,181.05. <br /> <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste 2025 budget included the cost to <br />replace the existing Loader. <br /> <br /> <br />Solid Waste <br /> <br />Approve the Resolution to Authorize the Facilities and Waste <br />Operations Director to Purchase 2024 Caterpillar 930. <br /> <br />Return one (1) copy to Solid Waste. <br />Resolution <br />Patti Stacey <br />Facilities and Waste <br />Operations Director
