She stated she would like to hire a temporary employee for <br />the Scale House that would work from 8-32 hours a week. She stated <br />that the budget impact may be between $0 - $48,000. The Board <br />approved Ms. Stacey’s request to hire an on-call employee as <br />reviewed and discussed. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT M.KARRAKER/TUGGLE-MILES/CALLINS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Wright moved to approve and accept the recommended <br />Appointments to the Kittitas County 1/10th of 1% Mental Health & <br />Chemical Dependency Committee to the vacant seats of Member with <br />Unique Experience – Substance Use Disorders Vacancy; District #1 <br />Vacancy; Member at Large – Lived Experience Vacancy. He moved to <br />appoint Michael Karraker to the seat of Member with Unique <br />Experience – Substance Use Disorders (2-year term); Pamela Tuggle <br />Miles to the seat of District #1 Rep. (3-year term); Debbie Callins <br />to the seat of Member at Large – Lived Experience (2-year term), <br />noting that voting verification would need to be confirmed for Ms. <br />Callins before her appointment letter is to be mailed. Commissioner <br />Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />UPDATE WHITE BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board reviewed their current whiteboard topics and provided <br />status updates. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of March 3, 2025, they would <br />post the following on their Facebook page: Recruitment for <br />volunteers for the Kittitas County Citizens Advisory Commission for <br />Elected Salaries (not including BoCC or Judges); WSDOT Upcoming <br />Construction Season schedule; Armory Update in response to the <br />Emergency Declaration. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2025 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
