KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM February 24, 2025 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman Cory <br />Wright, and Commissioner Cory Wright <br />Others: Josh Fredrickson, Cameron Curtis, Sally Kraft, Public Works; <br />Stephanie Hartung, Prosecuting Attorney's Office; Chad Bala, <br />Community Development Services. <br />At 1:31PM Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened the Public Works Study <br />Session. <br />No Citizen Comments <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHAIR SIGNATURE ON THE <br />DIGITAL SUBMITTAL CERTIFICATION OF THE ROAD LEVY CERTIFICATION TO THE <br />COUNTY ROAD ADMINISTRATION BOARD. <br />Cameron Curtis requested to approve the resolution authorizing the <br />use of an electronic submittal process in place of submitting a hard <br />copy of the annual Certification of the Road Levy and Estimated <br />Revenue Produced for 2025, to the County Road Administration Board <br />(CRAB). The CRAB Digital Submittal Certification requires Board of <br />County Commissioners Chair signature and submittal electronically. <br />Vice -Chairman Cory Wright moved to approve Resolution 2025-040 and <br />Commissioner Brett Wachsmith seconded the motion. Resolution 2025-040 <br />approved. <br />ANNUAL BRIDGE INSPECTION REPORT <br />Cameron Curtis briefed the Board of County Commissioners on the <br />Annual Bridge Inspection Report. The 2024 report includes <br />recommendations for bridge replacement and repair. Public Works now <br />has three (3) WSDOT Certified Bridge Inspectors on staff and one <br />staff member being trained. Consultants will continue to be needed <br />for specialized inspections, such as underwater inspections. <br />Washington State certification requirements match Federal inspection <br />standards. <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br />Josh Fredrickson briefed the board on the need for seasonal weight <br />restrictions on county roads due to seasonal weather shifts. <br />Specifically Public Works is monitoring a portion of Umptanum Road as <br />02/10/25 MINUTES <br />
