• Priority Five — Bridge and Structure Improvement Project <br />178 structures were identified with deficiencies in previous safety plans. Previous efforts through <br />survey and other data collection was performed, no improvement could be identified that would <br />eliminate the hazard. Further research, planning and preliminary engineering are necessary to <br />identify an implementation project. As county forces are limited, a project that would allow for <br />consultant services to assist in creating a crashworthy and cost-effective solution is a priority for <br />Kittitas County, Structure widening or replacement project that allow for improvement to meet <br />current standards is an approach that must be considered and planned for. <br />4 <br />
