KlrilTAS COU NTY D EVE LOPM ENTAL DTSAB| LtTr ES ADV|SORY COM MTTTE E (DDAC) <br />BYLAWS <br />PURPOSE OF ADVISORY BOARD <br />According to Revised Code of Washington 7LA.74.050, the board may serve as an <br />information and referral agency within the community, coordinate services to insure <br />maximum utilization of available services, and prepare comprehensive plans for future <br />developmental services of local services to persons with developmental disabilities. <br />Duties <br />A. Serve as an informational and referral agency within the community for persons with <br />developmental disabilities and their families (RCW 714.14.050) <br />B. Advise the BOCC on coordinating local services for persons with developmental <br />disabilities and their families to insure the maximum utilization of all services (RCW <br />71A.14.0s0) <br />C. Prepare comprehensive plans for present and future development of services and for <br />reasonable progress toward the coordination of all local services to persons with <br />developmental d isabil ities (RCW 7 LA.I4.O5O) <br />t. Collaborate with the Kittitas County Developmental Disabilities Coordinator <br />on the development, communication, and presentation of the county <br />comprehensive plan for the County DD Services (required by WAC 388-850- <br />o20). <br />2. Review and assess community and consumer needs, services, resources, <br />priorities, facilities, and special problems related to developmental <br />disabilities in Kittitas County. <br />3. Establish priorities based on this assessment and recommend the allocation <br />of available county and state funds in alignment with the plan. <br />D. Review the Committee' s bylaws annually at the beginning of each calendar year. <br />E. Maintain confidentiality of information (RCW 7tA.!4.07O). <br />F, Participate in board training as needed designed to provide, improve, or enhance <br />program-related skills of board and advisory committee members (DDA contract with <br />Kittitas County 8.2.a.ii and 1.c.2). <br />Members are required to comply with the Kittitas County Boards, Committees, and <br />Commlssions Handbook
