KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />STAFF REPORT FOR <br />STUDY SESSION <br />Solid Waste <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: 1/14/2025 <br />TOPIC: Request Boards approval and Chairs signature on a Amendment with SCJ <br />Alliance. <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approval <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Boards approval for the Chairs signature on an <br />amendment to SCJ Alliance Professional Service Agreement. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: Kittitas County has a Professional Service Agreement with SCJ <br />Alliance for On -call Consulting Services. This amendment includes: <br />1) finalizing the engineering and consulting services provided for the new north parking <br />lot, <br />2) adding boundary and topographic surveys for the Kittitas Valley Event Center RV <br />Park, Update RV Feasibility to concept and coordinate with City to relocate electrical <br />around project site. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has entered into an Professional Service Agreement <br />with SCJ Alliance to provide On -Call Engineering and Consulting services on a hourly <br />rate. SCJ has been working with the County on two projects over the past year. One of <br />the projects has been the recently completed North Parking lot. The amendment <br />formalize the total for their services during the project. <br />The second project that SCJ has been assisting with is the Kittitas Valley Event Center <br />RV Park. While working through the feasibility for the RV Park we have found the the <br />property contains numerous parcels and easements which need to be cleared up in order <br />to make full use the property. In addition the county will need to work with the City to <br />have the existing electrical line relocated around the property. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: Jail Parking lot engineering and consulting services $56,278, this <br />has been billed to date on the hourly rates shown in the contract and this amendment is to <br />show the total. <br />Pagel of 2 <br />Solid Waste "Study Session Staff Report", 1/14/2025 <br />
