Public Engagement Goals <br /> Through public participation process Kittitas County seeks to achieve the following goals: <br /> Encouraging Continuous& Inclusive Participation <br /> Aim to involve a diverse cross-section of the community, ensuring all voices, especially those of <br /> underrepresented groups,are heard. <br /> Utilize multiple engagement methods (e.g., public meetings, online platforms, surveys, <br /> workshops)to reach different demographics. <br /> Build Trust and Transparency <br /> Maintain open and honest communication about goals, processes, and outcomes. <br /> Educate and Inform the Community <br /> Ensure that community members understand the issues, plans, and the context around various <br /> initiatives. <br /> Offer clear and accessible information through multiple channels to ensure broad <br /> understanding. <br /> Address Community Needs and Priorities <br /> Identify and prioritize the actual needs and desires of the community, rather than imposing <br /> external agendas. <br /> Conduct thorough assessments and use data-driven approaches to understand community <br /> issues. <br /> Strengthen Community Relationships <br /> Foster relationships among community members, local organizations, and stakeholders. <br /> Encourage partnerships and collaborations that can enhance community resilience. <br /> Stakeholders <br /> Kittitas County has identified categories of key stakeholders whose participation in the development of <br /> Comprehensive Plan update is desired. It is important to note that even with the best intentions of the <br /> County to initially identify key stakeholders,that there are inevitably other parties,groups, <br /> organizations, members of the public, etc., who are inadvertently not represented on the initial list but <br /> whose participation is important.
