an additional 1.5o/o of their base pay. Selection, assignment, and removal to these positions shall <br />be at the sole discretion of the Sheriff, as well as the number of instructors/coordinators receiving <br />the additional compensation. <br />A. There shall be a maximum additional compensation provided for lnstructor pay of 1.5%. <br />B. No member represented under this agreement shall be required to perform the duties listed <br />above without the additional compensation. Members may agree to receive the training and <br />perform the duties without compensation as a development position by mutual agreement of <br />both parties. <br />2S.g Out of Class Pay: Line Deputies who are designated to serve as Deputy in Charge (DlC) shall be <br />compensated for the hours worked as DIC at an additional 2.5o/o of their base pay. A DIC will be <br />designated and compensated with a single patrol shift operates with no supervisor on duty or in <br />service for a period of at least eight (8) hours. <br />A. The Sheriff or designee will designate a DIC when the need for one is anticipated. The <br />selection of the DIC is not subject to grievance or appeal' <br />B. lf a single patrol shift is without supervision for at least eight (8) hours when no DIC has been <br />designated, the deputy with the greatest service seniority will serve as DlC. <br />ARTIGLE 26 - PAY ARRANGEMENTS <br />26.1 All employees shall be paid monthly, on the 1Oth of every month, there shall be no deductions other <br />than required by law or authorization in writing by the employee. The requirement to pay on the 1Oth <br />of every month is conditioned on there being no mechanical or procedural problems. <br />26.2 The Employer shall furnish each employee with an itemized statement of earnings and deductions, <br />specifying hours paid and other compensation payable to the employee as well as any and all <br />deductions from the employee's gross wages for the pay period. <br />26.3 Upon discharge or quitting, the Employer shall pay monies due the employee less appropriate <br />deductions in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Collective Bargaining Agreement on <br />the pay period following such quitting or discharge. <br />26.4 All pay calculations, and payroll shall be based on the employee's hourly wage, as set forth in <br />Appendix A. <br />ARTICLE 27 - RETIREMENT GONTRIBUTIONS <br />27.1 Effective January 1, 2009; the Employer, through proper authorized payroll deduction from the <br />employee's pay, shall withhold and forurard to the Teamster Pension Plan the amount authorized by <br />the Union and employee for purposes of a retirement contribution. <br />27.2 lf, during the life of this Agreement, the Trust completes the process to allow pension payment to be <br />deposited via electronic transmittal, Kittitas County will have the opportunity to participate in the <br />pro9ram. <br />23
