BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 - <br />ADOPTING THE 2024 WILDLIFE HAZARD EVALUATION AND MANAGEMENT <br />PLAN FOR BOWERS FIELD <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County owns and operates Bowers Field Airport (ELN) as a general <br />aviation airport; and <br />WHEREAS: To promote aviation safety at Bowers Field, a Wildlife Hazard Evaluation and <br />Management Plan has been developed; and <br />WHEREAS: Plan development included assistance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's <br />Wildlife Services and involvement from Airport Staff; and <br />WHEREAS: A Wildlife Hazard Evaluation was completed by the U.S. Department of <br />Agriculture's Wildlife Services staff to inform the plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby adopt the 2024 Wildlife Hazard Evaluation <br />and Management Plan for Bowers Field (Attachment A). <br />DATED on this 21It day of January 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />
