2025-01-13-25 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS’ AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5th ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />MONDAY 2:30 PM January 13, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chair Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chair Cory <br />Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br />Others: Chad Bala, Jeremy Larson and Shannon Johnson, Community <br />Development Services; Stephanie Hartung, Prosecuting Attorney’s <br />Office and no (0) members of the public. <br />At 2:30 pm Chair Osiadacz opened the Community Development <br />Services Study Session. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS (1 MIN. TIME LIMIT) <br />There were no public comments. <br />2024 YEAR-END BUILDING PERMITS UPDATE <br />CDS Building Official Jeremy Larson summarized the KCCDS Year- <br />End Building Permit Report for 2024. He provided a comparison to <br />2023, discussed plan review times, gave an electronic review <br />update and provided separate data comparisons for Suncadia <br />permits. He provided clarification for the 2015-2024 data sheets <br />within the agenda packet. <br />Vice Chair asked if there was data available for ADU permits <br />(Additional Dwelling Units) and Director Chad Bala stated that <br />there were currently four (4) ADU permits. <br /> <br />I-2066 CDS BUILDING SESSION UPDATE <br />CDS Building Official Jeremy Larson provided a detailed update <br />on Initiative 2066 to stop/prevent discrimination against gas <br />utilities and appliances in commercial and residential <br />construction. He stated that per the advice of our Kittitas <br />County Legal Counsel, the current 2021 building codes haven’t
