firis is an Amended contract betwee,n Comprehensive Mental Health, hereinafter referred to as <br />COMPREHENSM, 402 S 46 Ave, Yakima WA 98902 and Kittitas County (County) on behalf <br />of the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office for the benefit of the Kittitas County lail hereinafter <br />refened to as KC, 205 West 5m Ave, Suite l, Ellensburg WA 98926. <br />SERVICE AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />KITTITAS COUNTY JAIL <br />ANI) <br />COMPREHENSryE HEALTIICARE <br />Amendment #3 <br />General Terms and Conditions <br />The period of the performance of this agreement shall be ftom the date of signature <br />forwards until the modified or tenninated by either party upon timely notice. <br />No altemation or variation of the term of this conhact or understandings or agreements <br />not incorporated herein, unless made in writing between the parties hereto, shall be <br />binding. <br />In performing services under this agreement,lhe KCJ and COMPREIIENSIVE are <br />independent contactors, and nothing herein is to be construed as establishing an <br />employer-employee relationship. <br />The agencies agree that all work shall be performed in accordance with the higfuest <br />professional standards, and consistent with KCJ policies and procedures and <br />COMPREHENSIVE regulations. <br />Theparties hereby agree that no person will be discriminated against on the basis of race, <br />color, national origin, sex, or handicap oron the basis of any other protected stafus. This <br />is in accordance with the Title IX of the EducationAmendrnents of 1972, and the <br />Washington Law Against Discrimination, as amended. <br />1 <br />f. Purpose <br />The purpose of this Amendment is to add an additional fuil time on-site Mental Health Counselot <br />(MIC) to better support the inmates at KCJ. This will allow for a total of two Mental Healtlt <br />Counselors, and one Case Manager. <br />II. Tbrm <br />The term of this Agreement will begin July lt 2024, mdwill terminate when both parties agree <br />to term, unless sooner terminated according to the provisions herein. This contact may continue <br />fiom year-to{ear upon mufual agreement between the two parties and based on mutual <br />adjustment in rate of pay at3Yo, <br />m. fnsurance <br />During the term of ttris Agreement, COMPREHBNSM shall maintain public liability and <br />professional liability insumnce ooverage inthe minimum amount of $1,000,000 against claims or <br />injuries to persons or damage to prope.rty which may atise ftom or in connection with the <br />performance of the work by COMPREXIENSM, its agents, representatives, or employees.
