KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 17, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Resolution to Award the Bid for <br />Design, Fabricating, Finishing and Transporting a 40' x 16' <br />Steel Modular Bridge and Authorize the Water Resource <br />Program Manager to Execute Contract Documents <br />BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works solicited bids for the <br />procurement of a 40' x 16' foot steel modular bridge for <br />programmed construction of the Whiskey Creek Siphon <br />Project for 2025. <br />Sealed bids were received by Public Works on December 5, <br />2024, at 10:00 a.m. <br />Two (2) bids were received, and Public Works <br />recommends awarding the contract to Contech Engineered <br />Solutions, LLC in the amount of $60,300.00. <br />The bridge will be installed as part of the Whiskey Creek <br />Siphon project. Bids for this project will be solicited at a <br />later date. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Resolution awarding the Contract for <br />Design, Fabricating, Finishing and Transporting a 40' x 16' <br />Steel Modular Bridge and Authorize the Water Resource <br />Program Manager to Execute the Same. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Program Manager. <br />
