The City of Roslyn proposes a ballot measure to provide sustainable funding for public safety,
combat inflation and replenish City reserves.
Approval of Proposition 1 would help fund: police protection, fire protection, and other public
safety services in addition to combating inflation and replenishing City reserves. lf approved,
Proposition 1 would authorize an increase in the City's regular property tax levy by approximately
$0.481$1,000 of assessed valuation, to a total levy rate of 51.26 /$1,000, as allowed by Chapter
84.55 RCW.
The approximately $152,290 in additional levy funds would be deposited into the general fund
and would be used for public safety services, to combat inflation, and to replenish City reserves.
Approval of Proposition 1 would cost the owner of a median-valued $500,000 Roslyn home about
$350.00 additional per year, or approximately $29.17 per month. The levy amount collected in
2025 would be used to calculate subsequent levy limits. Seniors, disabled veterans, and others
may be exempt, per Chapter 84.36 RCW.
