06/10/2024 MINUTES 2 <br />with instructions to begin using the Study Session Staff Report for <br />all their items on Commissioner meetings, and if there is not one <br />provided to the Board at the time of the meeting, the item will be <br />postponed for consideration. <br /> FUNDING REQUEST CLE ELUM SKATE PARK COMMISSIONERS <br />Lucy Temple reviewed the request for funding in the amount of <br />$170,000.00 to complete the Cle Elum skate park. She explained the <br />reasons the Board should support the request through ARPA funds. <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Osiadacz acknowledged there were a lot of needs in the <br />community and this was for a one-time capital request and would not <br />be used for operations. She acknowledged there’s been a substantial <br />amount of community support for their request. <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Osiadacz moved to approve allocating $170,000.00 from <br />ARPA funds to complete the Cle Elum Skate Park, and to direct Staff <br />to provide enabling documents at a later date. Commissioner Wright <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> LETTER ERIC CELIGOY – FAIR BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br />Commissioner Wright moved to approve a letter to Eric Celigoy, <br />notifying him of the previous decision of vacating his seat on the <br />Kittitas County Fair Board, effective May 11, 2024, as he <br />constitutes a primary residence outside of Kittitas County, and <br />incompliance with Article V. Section 1 of the Kittitas County Fair <br />Board Bylaws requirement members to be selected from throughout the <br />County. Vice-Chairman Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0. DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board determined that for the week of June 10, 2024, they would <br />post the following on their Facebook page: PSE Open Houses, the <br />Joint BOCC/City of Ellensburg meeting on June 13th; and the CWU Mass <br />Casualty Incident Exercise event on June 12, 2024. <br /> UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2024 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />
