<br /> <br />$300,000. The department will continue to annual analysis with revenue actuals to project next RFP <br />availability. It was also noted that the sleep center is eligible for funding from this fund. <br />The board discussed opening the RFP process for the 112 fund Source for Low Income Housing. It was <br />agreed to have an open RFP process with a January 2025 release date. Funding amount for the RFP will <br />be $250,000. <br /> <br />Discussion and Direction on Cold Weather Shelter requested kitchen improvements <br />Chelsey Loeffers updated the board on the Cold Weather Shelter. Mrs. Loeffers noted that we are in the <br />process of finalizing the operating contract. There was discussion about a change in the operating <br />contract with where food was going to be prepped off-site, but have now decided to have food prep on <br />site in the Western Village building at the shelter. The Kitchen it is not up to code for the health <br />department to permit. Discussions on plans moving forward: <br />• Using 114 funds to make improvements to the Western Village Kitchen <br />• Brett Wachsmith and Chelsey Loeffers will meet with Event Center Coordinator to discuss <br />improvements <br />• Recommend HopeSource have a backup plan until changes can be made <br /> <br />Discussion and Direction on Odd Fellows contract negotiations <br />Chelsey Loeffers informed the board that there is still no contract in place. The department had sent a <br />letter to the Odd Fellows asking for more information about more in-depth budge information and <br />goals/objectives clarification. The Odd Fellows have responded to the letter, but to date we have not <br />received all of the information that was asked for in the certified letter. Mrs. Loeffers asked for board <br />direction. The board would like the department to send a certified letter with a deadline of end of <br />November to get the information back to us. The letter should state that if this is not received by such <br />date the funding is no longer available. The letter should also state that funding is contingent upon <br />Commerce Awarding funds mid-December. <br /> <br />*Brett Wachsmith left meeting. <br /> <br />Health Officer Update <br />Dr. Mark Larson updated the board on following: <br />• Wastewater treatment testing for diseases <br />• Updated on COVID disease in the community and current outbreak status <br />• Updated on Avian Influenza in Washington State and possible exposures in Kittitas County <br />• Updated on studies on fluoride in water and L&I standards for air quality <br /> <br />Other Business <br />None <br />
