DISCUSSION: <br />Public Works staff estimates that the new bridge will cost approximately $100,000. To <br />preserve the option to construct the project in 2025, we will need to purchase the bridge, <br />even though we do not currently have a pathway to secure the property interests (Right of <br />Way Acquisition and Temporary Construction Easement) for two downstream properties, <br />which are required for the siphon construction. We have presented offers to the property <br />owner / representative, but discussions to date have not identified a proposal that is <br />amenable to the owner / representative. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />Construction costs, including costs for the two bridges, is included in the Flood Control <br />Zone Districts annual budget. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />None. <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Public Works "Work Session Staff Report", 2024 <br />
