BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUiloN NO. 2024- 95 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE TOWN OF SOUTH CLE ELUM, WASHINGTON AND KITTITAS COUNTY, <br />WASHINGTON FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the Parties are public agencies, as defined in RCW 39.34.020, who wish to <br />enter into an Agreement pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW, the Washington <br />lnterlocal Cooperation Act; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County through the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office and The Town of <br />South Cle Elum have the power, authority, and responsibility to provide police <br />protection and law enforcement services for the citizens within their boundaries; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, The Town of South Cle Elum is located entirely within the boundaries of <br />Kittitas County, and the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office is able to provide regular <br />law enforcement services to The Town of South Cle Elum; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County and The Town of South Cle Elum wish to enter into a joint <br />Agreement to efficiently provide The Town of South Cle Elum with law <br />enforcement services; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board Of COUNTY <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the lnterlocal <br />Agreement between The Town of South Cle Elum and Kittitas County for law enforcement <br />services which shall be filed pursuant to RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this lqr\day of 2024. <br />BOARD OF CO TY COMMISSIONERS <br />o INGTON <br />ith, Chairman <br />ght, Commissioner <br />AP AS TO FORM: <br />-{btert<the Board- Julie Kj <br />Douglas R <br />orsvik <br />I Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Nla,r <br />Cott <br />aoutt <br />RESOLUTION <br />, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney
