Docket Item 2024-08 - Title 14 <br />CDS DIRECTOR BALA presented the docket item for reconsideration. <br />Discussion occurred regarding the decision to approve included <br />the concern it was going to be too simple, unaware of the <br />unintended consequences that could occur, and wanting to make <br />sure that the elected officials were the ones making the <br />decisions on adopting the code amendments as they come through <br />from the state. Staff recommends the Planning Commissioners <br />revisit the motion and discuss the voting on it. <br />COP+MISSIONER PEARSON moved to recommend denial of docket item <br />2024-08. COMMISSIONER TAYLOR seconded. Discussion - none. Motion <br />passed 4-0. <br />Docket Item 2024-09 - Title 12 <br />CDS DIRECTOR BALA presented the docket item for reconsideration. <br />Discussion occurred regarding clarification of changes. Staff <br />specifically references findings of fact #8 which is the <br />original motion with the changes proposed that was voted on. <br />Commissioner Deneen: This was the motion that was made and <br />supported by KC Dept. of Public Works. <br />CDS Director Bala: Yes and confirmed the original motion as <br />it's described in Findings of Fact #8. <br />Vice Chair Lundin: I know more than what you (Commissioner <br />Deneen),think. There are other roads that are not getting help. <br />The reason I kept out of this is because I really didn't know <br />how much building would be behind that and the associated cost. <br />COMMISSIONER PEARSON moved to confirm the motion that was <br />presented on September loth consistent with the proposed Findings <br />of Facts of number 8 be recommended with approval to the Board <br />of County Commissioners. COMMISSIONER DENEEN seconded. <br />Discussion - none. Motion passed 4-0. <br />CDS DIRECTOR BALA provided, reviewed and presented the Findings <br />of Fact handout to the Planning Commissioners. <br />COMMISSIONER DENEEN moved to accept the Findings of Fact for the <br />2024 Annual Comprehensive Plan Docket as discussed and presented <br />by the Director.
