Intranet Modernization Initiative Plan <br />Introductfon <br />What is CAMAS? <br />Typically, an organizatfon's intranet is responsible for the following: <br />Internal Communication: News, announcements, and updates. <br />Document Management: Storage and access to company documents, policies, and procedures. <br />Collaboration Tools: Forums, chat systems, and project management tools. <br />Employee Directory: Contact informatfon and organizatfonal structure. <br />Training and Development: Access to training materials and business process documentatfon. <br />CAMAS is responsible for doing more than this while also not performing some of the functfonality listed above. <br />Constructfon of CAMAS, in its current state, began approximately 17 years ago, and the scope of business processes the <br />web applicatfon performs grew over tfme with more being added to this day. <br />Major functfonality of CAMAS includes: <br />Financial Management <br />Meetfng Management <br />Service Request System <br />HR Recruitment, Onboarding, and Employee Management <br />Asset Management System <br />Building Planning Management <br />Health Inspectfon Management <br />Internal Applicatfon Authorizatfon <br />Various Public Website Administratfon Features <br />These are the major features of CAMAS with over 60 minor features that assist county employees with general <br />business tasks as well as very niche specific assignments to their department or office. <br />The level that CAMAS has served the county is a testament to the team of 1 to 2 developers who engineered it and <br />contfnue to maintain and update it. When the project began, software solutfons for the County's needs either didn't exist <br />or were considered too expensive to purchase. <br />
