FATS, is a custom built system in the
County’s intranet. FATS is a custom built feature of CAMAS.

When the County enacts new laws, they request the IT department to write the newly
enacted law into code and upload them into the County’s public website. This task has
historically put a lot of pressure on county staff due to being very laborious while
requiring a high attention to detail.

DISCUSSION:
Code Publishing
Zane Kinney and several stakeholders have reviewed code publishing software options
for the purpose of codifying County legislation.

The team’s favored choice is a product offered by the vendor, General Code.

Asset Management
After reviewing several options, Zane Kinney, Zack DeHaven, and other power users of
FATS, feel that Asset Panda is versatile enough to handle the County’s needs as well as
offer major advantages of a modern web-based application. Implementing Asset Panda
aligns with the Board’s request to rebuild our county intranet to a more modern and
performant model.
