JANUARY 22, 2024 <br /> <br />Board members present: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Commissioner Cory <br />Wright. <br /> <br />Board members absent: Chairman Brett Wachsmith <br /> <br />Others: IT Director Doug Fessler; Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney; <br />Network Administrator Bill Davis; Assistant Finance Director Zack <br />Dehaven; IT Administrative Assistant Grant Shimada <br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING IT STUDY SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:00 a.m. Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened the Information <br />Technology Study Session. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />There were no citizen comments. <br /> <br />REQUEST BOARD APPROVAL OF DATACENTER HARDWARE <br />PURCHASE <br />IT <br /> <br />IT Director Doug Fessler requested Board approval to purchase server <br />hardware to prepare for next years server rotation plans explaining <br />this would help simplify certain transitions (i.e. Cayenta project). <br />All Commissioners approved at 11:04 a.m. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION STAFF REPORT CREATION TOOL IN CAMAS IT <br /> <br />Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney explained the situation with the <br />staff report on Camas and demonstrated the new report tool he’s been <br />developing. IT is coordinating with the clerks from the Commissioner’s <br />office, Office Administrator Mandy Buccholz and Clerk of the Board <br />Julie Kjorsvik, about doing a soft rollout to other departments for <br />user feedback with the next step being to deploy the full version of <br />this tool to all departments. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION MONTHLY IT STATISTICS UPDATE IT <br /> <br />Doug asked the Commissioners if the data report provided enough <br />information to be informed about the County’s tech infrastructure. The <br />Commissioners agreed that the report was ample. Currently 30% of the <br />County’s backup system is used and 60% is available. Commissioner Cory
