EQUIPMENT RENTAL & REVOLVING FUND 501 <br />L <br />2025 Equipment Rental & Revolving Budget - Fund 501 <br />Program Description: <br />Public Works administers Fund 501 (Equipment Rental and Revolving) in compliance with RCW 36.33A.030. The Equipment Rental <br />and Revolving Fund is to manage the purchase, maintenance, and repair of equipment and inventory used in fulfilling the objectives <br />of the Public Works Department. Established and adopted rental rates are applied to equipment used. <br />Revenue Sources: <br />Rental rates for equipment used; Sale of county owned material to the County Road Fund. <br />Staff Summary: <br />The County Engineer, with assistance from the Fleet Manager and Public Works Director manage the fund. Fleet is maintained by <br />four mechanics and the fleet manager. <br />Functions: <br />Administration: <br />• Financial management and administration <br />• Asset management <br />• Develop rental rates <br />• Inventory management <br />Central Stores: <br />Maintain supply of pipe and guardrail used <br />on County roads <br />Maintain inventory for fleet maintenance and <br />repairs <br />Mechanic Shop: <br />• Maintain the fleet of vehicles <br />Maintain the County mechanical shop facilities <br />Pits and Quarries: <br />Manage the pits and stockpiles owned by Kittitas County Roads <br />Notes for 2025: <br />Equipment purchases are proposed to allow for replacement of existing equipment. <br />
