Notice of Determination of Non-Significance <br /> Kittitas County 2024 Annual Comprehensive Plan and Development Code Amendments <br /> Notice is hereby given that Kittitas County through its annual Comprehensive Plan Docket process, <br /> proposes County Code and Comprehensive Plan amendments to: change the annual comprehensive plan <br /> application docket deadline from June 30 to March 30 each year;amend KCC increasing the allowed square <br /> footage of buildings in LAMIRDs pursuant to Senate Bill 1640;Amend comp plan and land use table to reflect <br /> annexations and rezones from the previous year;change requirements to allow surveys to be submitted and <br /> recorded in paper format;establishing an agriculture tourism definition;establish a definition for short term <br /> rentals;rezoning of split zoned properties within the City of Kittitas UGA;amend KCC 14 to update language <br /> referencing most current adopted version of the code; amend KCC 12 clarifying road standards;and amend <br /> KCC 16.12.260 to add a preliminary plat revision process, After a review of a completed environmental <br /> checklist and other information on file with the lead agency, the County has determined that the 2024 <br /> proposed amendments will not have any significant adverse environmental impacts, and has issued a <br /> Determination of Non-Significance. This information is available to the public on request, or can be <br /> reviewed at the Kittitas County Community Development website at <br /> https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/cds/comp-plan/default.aspx. <br /> Written comments from the public regarding the threshold determination may be submitted to the <br /> Kittitas County Community Development Services no later than August 30, 2024 at 5:00pm, after which <br /> the lead agency will then: retain, modify, or withdraw the decision pursuant to 43.21C RCW (State <br /> Environmental Policy Act) and WAC 197-11-340(2).This may be the only opportunity to comment on the <br /> environmental impacts of this proposal pursuant to SEPA. <br /> A copy of this threshold determination will be available to the public upon request.
