Chapter 17.08 <br /> DEFINITIONS* <br /> 17,08.480 School, public or private. <br /> 17.08485 Shooting range. <br /> 17.08.486 Short-Term Rental <br /> 17.08.480 School,public or private. <br /> "Public or private school" means an institution which offers instruction and study required to be <br /> taught in the public schools of the state of Washington.Trade schools are specifically excluded from <br /> this definition.(Ord. 2013-001. 2013; Res.83-10, 1983) <br /> 17.08.485 Shooting range. <br /> "Shooting range" means an area or facility designated or operated for archery(including crossbows), <br /> and/or the discharging and operation of lawfully possessed, lawful firearms,as defined in RCW <br /> Chapter 9.4`1-with the exception of: <br /> 1. Any law enforcement or military shooting range;or <br /> 2. Incidental target practice areas on private property. <br /> Ord.2013-001, 2013,Ord.2009-25,2009) <br /> 17.08.486 Short-Term Rental <br /> (1) "Contact"means the operator or the operator's representative who is tlleLpoint of contact for env <br /> sh,4rt-term re0t�g ,��f01'the�i�ration of th�gu��..�,tay.:ul.t�.;xtl�rt-term rental. <br /> (2) "Department"means the department of revenue. <br /> (3) "Dwelling unit'means a residential dwelling of any type inctij.dinga single-family residence <br /> apartment.condominium conneratiye unit or room, in which a person may obtain living <br /> accommodations for less than_thirty days,but not including duly licensed bed and breakfast, inn. <br /> hotel. mote[,or timeshare propety. <br /> (4) Fee"means remuneration or aLildhing of economics value that i�provided promised,or donated <br /> primarily in exchange for services rendered. <br /> (5)"Guest"means any person or persons renting a short-term rental unit. <br /> (6)"Operator"or"short-term rental operator" means any ern son wb receives payment for owning <br /> or operatinga dwelling unit or portion thereof,as ashort-term rental_unit. <br /> _ <br /> (7)"Owner"means any person who alone or with others.,has title or interest in any building. <br /> pLQp�ty.d ling ni or portion thereof.with orwithout accompanyin a al possession thereof, <br /> and including any person who as agent.a ��,tor,administrator, r t ,9r guardian of an estate <br /> �s charge mare or control of any building,dwalLing unit or portion thereof.A person whose solo <br /> in erPst in any_buitdiag,dwelling unit or portion thereof ia._s_olely that of awl BaEe under a lease <br /> agreement is not considered an owner. <br /> (8)"Person"has the same meaningas provided in RCW 82 04 030 <br />
