Where there are difficulties in meeting these <br /> conditions or if additional information is required, contact Marvin in the Fire Marshal's office immediately. <br /> Docket Item 24-Ot <br /> The fire marshal's office has no issue with this change as long as business' comply with all IFC codes relating <br /> to the SF of said building including but not limited to Access, egress as well as fire life safety requirements. <br /> Docket Item 24-06: <br /> The fire marshals office has concern on the following sections of proposal; <br /> RCW 64.37.010 Section(9)(i)under the proposal it states <br /> "A dwelling unit that is occupied by the owner for at least 6 months during the calendar year and in which fewer <br /> than 3 rooms are rented at any time" <br /> Many vacation rentals are 3 rooms or less, any time an owner is receiving financial compensation for renting"a <br /> room"or"guest house/cabin" it should fail under this definition as fire life safety practices should be carried out <br /> the same, whether it is a room or an entire home, the threat to life exists and proper precautions taken. <br /> RCW 64.37.030 Should include the following requirements for consumer safety. <br /> 1. A means for first responder access shall be provided such as a knox box or the like. <br /> 2. Any fire life safety systems within the home must be maintained to manufacturer specs and the <br /> International Fire Code le fire sprinklers, smoke detectors, fire alarms etc. <br /> 3.
