• Washington state regulations for energy conservation apply to all new development. <br /> 4. How would the proposal be likely to use or affect environmentally sensitive areas or <br /> areas designated(or eligible or under study)for governmental protection;such as parks, <br /> wilderness,wild and scenic rivers, threatened or endangered species habitat, historic or <br /> cultural sites,wetlands,floodplains, or prime farmlands? <br /> The proposed amendments to the Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan and Kittitas County Code <br /> through the Annual Amendment Process are not expected to use or affect environmentally <br /> sensitive areas or areas designated for governmental protection. The proposed amendments do <br /> not include any new uses or changes that would result in affects to environmentally sensitive areas <br /> or areas designated for governmental protection. All proposed projects are held accountable to the <br /> code in place which includes measures to protect these areas. <br /> Proposed measures to protect such resources or to avoid or reduce impacts are: <br /> As a non-project action that is not expected to affect environmentally sensitive areas or areas <br /> designated for governmental protection no protection measures are included in this proposal. <br /> 5. How would the proposal be likely to affect land and shoreline use, including whether it <br /> would allow or encourage land or shoreline uses incompatible with existing plans? <br /> Kittitas County's Comprehensive Plan,specifically the Land Use and Rural Elements, and the <br /> existing Countywide Planning Policies and objectives identify these lands and outline policies, <br /> procedures,and tools to conserve Commercial Forest,Agricultural,Mineral and other Resource <br /> Lands and concentrate urban development in Urban Growth Areas and locations of more intense <br /> rural development(LAM1RDs). Detailed land use maps,including maps of Resource Lands are <br /> available in the Kittitas County planning map library. <br /> Proposed measures to avoid or reduce shoreline and land use impacts are: <br /> As a non-project action that is not likely to affect land and shoreline uses no measures to avoid or <br /> reduce shoreline and land use impacts are included in this proposal. <br /> 6. How would the proposal be likely to increase demands on transportation or public <br /> services and utilities? <br /> • The proposed amendments to the Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan are not expected to <br /> increase demand on transportation or public services and utilities.
