2024-09-10 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />Lower Valley Transfer Station Project Updates: Patti informed the Board contractors are <br />scheduled to break ground on the 23rd of September, due to change of staff at the City’s Critical <br />Areas Department, she is waiting for one last permit. Patti suggested issuing a press release for <br />the event. Patti informed the Board the bid option window for the project will close October 4th. <br />A brief discussion was held on WM considering leasing to purchase a portion of the property for <br />storage of equipment, Patti included the lease would help to pay back the loan from the general <br />fund and will be discussing with legal. <br />Cle Elum Transfer Station Updates: Patti informed the Board she will be going out to bid in <br />December for spring construction on the new entrance project and that money has been set aside <br />to fund the project. <br />Maintenance Updates: Patti notified the Board she is waiting on a 3rd bid for the Morris <br />Sorenson rooftop HVAC unit replacement. Patti said she has had the air tested in the building <br />and the results came back showing no hazards, however employees are questioning Co2 levels. <br />Discussion was held on having Fulcrum Environmental assess the building along with the option <br />to use air filters and the overall segregated layout of the building. <br />North Parking Lot: Patti notified the Board she is waiting on light poles and the EV charging <br />station’s transformer to arrive. The contractor is working on leveling a slope where the <br />transformer will be placed to be compliant with L&I requirements. The parking lot is estimated <br />to open mid next week. A brief discussion was held on the Sheriff department’s concern with the <br />landscaping. <br />OTHER BUSINESS – No Action to be taken – Jail Improvement Project will be going out to <br />bid by the end of the year. A brief discussion was held on the Courthouse sidewalk construction <br />and improvements including using elections security grant funds.
