BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br /> STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING THE KITTITAS COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> BYLAWS <br /> RESOLUTION NO.2024- <br /> WHEREAS: The state of Washington requires each local health jurisdiction to be <br /> governed by a local board of health, in accordance with RCW 70.05; and <br /> WHEREAS: The board of county commissioners and an equal or greater number of <br /> nonelected county residents shall constitute the local board of health,in <br /> accordance with the updates to RCW 70.05.030 that take effect July 1, <br /> 2022; and <br /> WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners appoints the <br /> nonelected members of the Kittitas County Board of Health by a majority <br /> vote; and <br /> WHEREAS: Bylaws establishing the purpose, membership, authority, officers and <br /> duties, meetings and quorum, business of regular meetings, rules of <br /> business, amendment protocol, and joint public hearing protocols are <br /> necessary for the function and operational of the Kittitas County Board of <br /> Health and the Kittitas County Public Health Department; and <br /> WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of Health adopted Bylaws by Resolution <br /> 2022-03; and <br /> WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of Health has made revisions to the adopted <br /> Bylaws, which are consistent with the Board of Health's direction and <br /> business operations, and is attached hereto and incorporated by reference <br /> as "Exhibit A;" <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of Health of Kittitas County, <br /> Washington adopts the Amended Kittitas County Board of Health Bylaws shown in <br /> "Exhibit A" effective immediately. <br /> ADOPTED this day of 2024. <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY,WASHINGTON <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Chair <br /> 5 <br />
