BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO.2024 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE LEASE <br />AGREEMENTS AT BOWERS FIELD <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Code (KCC) 2.81.060(4) requires that all leases of real property be <br />approved by the Board of County Commissioners unless such authority is delegated <br />to a designee by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County is the airport sponsor of Bowers Field with Public Works having the <br />responsibility to manage leases for County owned land and structures at the airport <br />and surrounding industrial land; and <br />WHEREAS: T-Hangar leases and T-Hangar amendments are a standard lease and adopted rate; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Public Works Director has the knowledge necessary to evaluate <br />and execute T-Hangar, T-Hangar amendment and short-term lease agreements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Kittitas County Public Works <br />Director to execute T-Hangar leases, T-Hangar lease amendments and short-term <br />leases at Bowers Field as provided in KCC 2.81.060(4). <br />DATED on this 20th day of August 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
