KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM August 12, 2024 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner Cory <br />Wright. <br />Others: Josh Fredrickson, Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; Chad Bala, <br />Jamey Ayling, Jessica Miller, Community Development Services; <br />Stephanie Hartung, Prosecuting Attorney's Office; Zack DeHaven, <br />Auditor's Office; 1 members of the public. <br />At 1:30 PM Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened the Public Works and <br />Community Development Services Study Session. <br />No Citizen Comments. <br />TITLE 16 CODE AMENDMENT FOR ANNUAL DOCKET <br />Jamey Ayling requested the Board of County Commissioners support the <br />addition of a preliminary plat code amendment to 2024 comprehensive <br />plan docket and presented amendments. The Board directed Staff <br />include the item for consideration to the Planning Commission. <br />AIRPORT LEASE APPROVAL <br />Josh Fredrickson requested the Board of County Commissioners support <br />to authorize the Public Works Director to execute lease agreements <br />with the Public Works Department currently overseeing the Airport. <br />Staff was directed to prepare enabling documents for consideration. <br />ROAD LEVY UPDATE <br />Josh Fredrickson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on <br />business conducted to bring forward the Road Fund Levy Lift to voters <br />and stated CONSOR will be providing outreach information and that <br />mailers will need to be budgeted for. Josh Fredrickson presented <br />Explanatory Statement to the Board and'explained that the current <br />Road Fund Levy is .77 cents per $1000 assessed value and the Road <br />Fund Levy Lift presented to voters will be asking for an additional <br />.24 cents per $1000 for a total of $1.01 per $1000. <br />EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER UPDATE <br />Josh Fredrickson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on the <br />status of funding for the Search and Rescue Facility and that funds <br />are only allocated for certain portions of the project and that the <br />2024-8-12 MINUTES <br />
