NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the best interests of the citizens of Kittitas County require the submission to the qualified voters of the County a proposition to levy regular property taxes above the limitations established in RCW 84.55.010 for consideration at the general election. The proposition shall be to increase the County's regular property tax levy by $0.24 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for collection in 2025, for a total rate not to exceed $1.01027 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the proposition also would approve the use of the dollar amount of the 2025 levy for computing the maximum levy that may be imposed in years after 2025, and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED revenues from the property tax increases that would be authorized by the ballot proposition shall be used for the limited purposes of continued maintenance, repairs, and improvements of the Kittitas County roads and bridges, and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners does hereby request that the Auditor, as supervisor of all elections, call and conduct an election in the unincorporated precincts in the County, in the manner provided by law, to be held on the date identified herein, for the purpose of submitting to the voters of the County a proposition in substantially the following form: Kittitas County Proposition No. 1 Kittitas County Road Maintenance Levy County Road Property Tax Levy Lid Lift The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution Nd. _; proposing increasing the County Road regular property tax levy. If approved, this proposition would fund County Road and bridge maintenance, repairs, and improvements. It authorizes a 2025 maximum regular property tax levy rate of $1.01027 per $1,000 of assessed value and authorizes the use of the 2025 dollar amount to calculate the levy limit in subsequent years.
