BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO.2024 - <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT WITH WASHINGTON <br />STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR INSTALLATION OF <br />ADSB AT BOWERS FIELD <br />WHEREAS: Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is working to <br />install Automatic Dependent Surveillance — Broadcast (ADSB) systems in <br />key locations around the State; and <br />WHEREAS: ADSB systems are able to provide more precise flight data to assist in <br />locating lost, missing and overdue aircraft; and <br />WHEREAS: WSDOT has identified Bowers Field as a location to install an ADSB; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has leased commercial space at Bowers Field which can <br />accommodate the ADSB; and <br />WHEREAS: WSDOT has requested signature to Agreement No. GCB 4098 as shown <br />in Exhibit A for installation of the ADSB at Bowers Field. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Public Works <br />Director signature on WSDOT Agreement No. GCB 4098. <br />DATED on this 6th day of August 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
