Where the Local Government has recelved a cooperatlve agreement through the POD'S Cooperagve Agreement Program, the cooperatlve agreement termination and other applicable provlsions shall: a. be tncorporated into this agreernent; b. survive ifter the explration of the cooperative agreement, and c. supersede the terminatlon provlslons of this agreement. Assignment and Outsourcing of Jall Operatlons (May 2O2l) The overall management and operation of the Facility houslng Federal prlsoners shall not be contracted out without the prior written notlflcation of the Federal Government. Medical Services (MaY 2O2L) The Local Government shall maintain written procedures that describe actions taken ln the event of a prisoner's death, assault, or medlcal emergency to include notiflcatlon to the USMS. The Local Government shall provide a medical and mental health screenlng upon admlsslon to the Faclllty. The Local Government shall lnform prisonerc how to access health services. The Loca! Government shatt nottfy the local IJSMS disffict office of any infedlous disease outbreak. The Local Govemment shall provlde Federal prlsoners wlth the same level and range of care inside the Facility as that provlded to state and local prisoners. The Local Government is financially ieJponslOf! for all m6dicat care provided inside the Faclllty to Federal prisoners. This lncludes the cosl of all medical, dentat, and mental health care as well as the cost of medical supplies, over- ihe-counter medlcations and any prescription medlcatlons routinely stocked by the Faclllty. The Facility is encouraged to purchase non-OTC medications for USMS prisoners through the USMS' Nagonal Managed Care Contract (NMCC) Discount Pharmacy Prograrn. When posslble, generic medications shoutd be prescribed. The cost of all of the above-referenced medical care ls covered by the Federal per-diem rate. The Federal Governrnent will pay for the cost of specialized medlcal servlces not routlnely provided withln the Facility, such as dialysis. The Federal Government is flnancially responsible for all medlcal care provlded outside the Facillty to Federal prlsonerc. The Federal Government must be bllled directly by outside medical care providers pursuant to arrangements made by the Local Government for outside medical care.
