Agreement Number 85-10-0004 <br />The Lqcal Government wlll ensure that prisoners who volunteer to work are prohlbited Keep on <br />Person medlcations while at the worksite. <br />Federal prlsoners rnust obtain required medical clearances before worklng in the food service <br />aneas. Tire Federal prlsoner work program shall not confllct wlth any other requirements of the <br />agr.em"nt and must comply with all applicable laws and regulatlons. Federal prisoners shall not <br />U6 usea 69 perform the-responsiblllties or dutles of an employee of the Local Government. <br />Appioprlate iafety/protective clothing and equipment shall be provided to Feder.af prisoner <br />*b'rte'rr as approprlite. Federal prisoners shall not be assigned work that is considered hazardous <br />or dangeroui,'rnis includes, but is not limlted to, areas or asslgnments requirlng great heights, <br />extreml temperatures, use of toxic substances and unusual physlcal demands. Federal prlsoner <br />workers can be paid the identical rates of pay as other facility prisoners. <br />Federal prisoners shall be required to particlpate in normal housekeeping duties which help ensure <br />the deahllness of their housing area. Increases and reductions in privileges may be used as <br />incenflves to ensure that Federal prisoners keep their living areas clean. <br />(End of Provislon) <br />LZ. Guard/Transportation Services tolfrom Medical Facility (May 2ll21). <br />When Medlcal Facility in block #14 on page one (1) of this agreement Is checked, the Local <br />Govemment agrees, subject to the availability of its personnel, to provide transportation and guard <br />services for Felderal'prisoners housed at the Facility to and from a medical facllity for outpatient <br />care, and transportation and stationary guard seruices for Federal prlsoners admitted to a medlcal <br />facility. <br />These serulces shall be performed by at least two (2) armed and qualified LEos or Correctional <br />Officers (CO) according io the criterla specifled by lhe County Entlty running the faciliW. In all <br />iises, thLse'are part oT a fulltlme Law Enforcement Organization or Correctlonal Organlzation and <br />that they have met the minirnum training requirements. <br />The Local Government agrees to provlde addltional personnel if requested by the USMS to enhance <br />sfecific requirements foisecurity, prlsoner monitoring, and contra.band.control. Federal prisoners <br />#; rrt pJrmitt"O to use the teiephone, internet or WIFI enabled devices, or to receive outside <br />iooA, ditnks, or deliveries (including flowers) with.out consent frorn the UsMs. The Local <br />eou6rm"nt shall restraln federal prlioners by attachlng at least one extremlty to the hospltal <br />Ujd, stretcher, or chair at all tirnes when medically posslble. Pregnant or postpartum prisoners <br />stroutO not be restrained. Postparturn ls the twelve-week period following chlldbirth, mlscarrlage, <br />or aboftlon.
