3.County Priorities:Indicate which of the following priorities are being addressed by the
proposed project.(Select all that apply and give a brief 100 word description for each
selected.)
•New affordable housing development.
All units will be rented at 50%AMI or below, and the target populations will be 15 units for
veterans, and 15 units for workforce families. The units will remain affordable housing for at
least 40 years in accordance with Housing Trust Fund directives.
Throughout North America,Odd Fellows organizations operate more than 28 housing
complexes, and affordable housing is a core mission of the organization.
•Increased access to rental vouchers.
OFLHP will work with community resources to maximize rental vouchers from all current
and future assistance programs. We have an existing relationship with the local VA Housing
program at the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)to place veterans in the new
units.
•Promotion of private landlord usage of Section 8 rental vouchers.
OFLHP will be a private non-profit landlord,and will obtain HUD/VASH project-based
vouchers (AKA building vouchers)for every unit of housing constructed.
4.Partnerships:List your key community partnerships for the proposed project and what
their role will be.(250 words max.)
OFLHP has key community partnerships with Washington State Department of Revenue
and the Kittitas County Assessor ’s office for property tax exemptions for affordable
housing. We also work closely with the Hopesource SSVF housing program for veterans in
need. Our contacts at the state department of Employment Security and Work Source have
worked with us for years on the bicycle and computer programs, and they know to direct
their unhoused clients to us once construction is complete. Finally,we are hosting the new
APOYO building at our location,a broad ranging community service organization that will
leverage their own funding and resources for the site.
4 of 9
